During1982, Coverdale took more time off so he could take care of his sickdaughter. When he re-emerged with a new version of Whitesnake in 1984,the society sounded revitalized and energetic. Slide It In may accept reliedon Led Zeppelins and Deep Purples experienced tricks, but the band had a knackfor caligraphy hooks; the record became their primitive platinum album. Threeyears later, Whitesnake released ~y eponymous album (titled 1987 inEurope) that was just better. Portions of the album were blatantlyderivative -- Still of the Night was a dead ringer as being early Zeppelin-- but the group could commit to paper powerful, heavy rockers like Here I GoAgain that were driven in the same proportion that much by melody as riffs, because well as hit powerballads like Is This Love.
